When: Tuesday, December 21st 2010

Time: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Where: Khamit Kinks Salon – 327 Gold Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

I would like to get my hair trimmed. Does your salon have to straighten my hair first to trim it or can it be done on hair in its natural state (coily)? I don’t like to use heat on my hair and especially NOT a pressing comb.

    • Dear Shay,
In order to have an even cut it is best to stretch the hair out. We do so gently with a blow dryer and we do not make the hair bone straight. If you prefer not to have the hair blown dry, we can accommodate you on that just as long as you realize the cut may not be exactly even.

  2. I am thinking of getting a twa but i am not sure because the back of my head is shaped weird. Is the big chop a good Idea for me?

    • Who said the back of your head was shaped weird? Do you think so? That is what matters most. If you’re fine with the shape of your head regardless of what others say, then go for it. If you’re not comfortable with it then cutting your hair short might not work for you. It’s your choice…

Will Khamit Kinks be having another Big Chop Event anytime soon?

    • Hi Khris,
There is so much going us with us right now that I can’t commit to another Big Chop event in terms of a definite date. But it is definitely something that we hope to do before June.
